A little update on my Vintage Trailer

So Spring is here almost summer. I went to my dad's

to work on my trailer. Started ripping out bad wood and found a lot more that needs to be done. The front is going to need all new skin. So it is a mess inside. Not happy not much work is getting done. Oh well what can I do I can't do the work myself. I did not take any pictures because it is so ugly to look at. Meanwhile here is a little older version of my trailer that was redone it is a 1964 Roadrunner with an aqua stripe 64 Roadrunner . I have decided I am doing aqua, pink and red for my interior colors! Can't wait to start decorating. I am hoping by the end of the summer. I will keep updating as it comes along.

Shabby Cath Kidston (look) Canisters for the trailer

Anyone still reading this? Thank you for those of you who pop in. I am a bad blogger. I feel like no one reads this so I don't update as much! I have had a super busy winter with cupcake stands! Doing them on Groopdealz and Veryjane is great but very time consuming. It has been very cold and snowy. Our highs are 13 and lows -4. I can't wait for spring and to start working on my trailer. I have not seen my trailer since Oct. since she's at my dad's with a big tarp over her!

After Christmas I went to Walgreens of all places and found these super cute rose canisters that remind me of Cath Kidston! They were on sale for $ 5.00 bargain. I guess you know how I will be decorating the trailer. I also need to name her. I will try to add updates in the spring of any progress that is made. Thanks for stopping by and I will try not to go so long without blogging!

Look what I found!

I have been looking for a vintage trailer to restore for about 2-3 years. My dad said you can't buy one on EBay or Craigslist you have to go drive in the country and knock on doors. So, my sister mom and I were driving in the country to an Estate sale and I saw 3 vintage trailers on our way. So I call my dad and tell him I can't go knock on doors will you come do it? So he agreed and came on a Friday. I drove him to the 3 I saw. He drove by everyone of them and said it looks like they are using them. So driving by all of them we spot one down a road hidden. He pulls in the driveway starts walking to the door and someone pulls in the driveway. They looked at us like "can I help you" My dad says you don't want to sell that trailer do you? Well have not used it and need to talk to son-in-law. Dad leaves his business card and tells him call me if you decide you want to sell it. No call all weekend I thought of well. Monday comes and I get a call from my dad guess who just called? Who Mr. Brown and he wants to sell his trailer! Me so excited I want to go get it right then. I had to wait until Wednesday and had not even seen the inside yet! I tell my dad put your hitch on! We go look at it little water damage and the inside needs work along with the outside! But for $300.00 it is worth it! I can't wait to get caught up on orders and for the heat to mellow out a little to get started.  My dad had to fix the lights to tow it home! It went to his house so we  he could start tearing everything out and redoing! I will post as thing go along!

Peonies

Peonies are one of my favorite flowers along with roses and hydrangea. My friend brought me over some pink and white peonies at 6:30 am before she went to work. Bless her for taking the time that early in the morning. I had to share them they are just beautiful. I have been working so hard on cupcake stands I can not keep up! I hope I still have the few followers that I have had. I am going to make posting on my blog a priority.
I'll be back soon!

The Magic of Christmas

It's almost here! I can not believe it is Christmas! Where did the time go? I have been so stressed out with school. I just completed my final in algebra II. I survived and got a B. I never want to take another math class in my life. It consumed so much of my time. Once again I did not get enough crafting done for my favorite time of the year. I decorated a little different this year. I used more greenery and used a fake green tree and lightly flocked it with shimmery snowflakes on the ends. I used pink in my tree which I was just going to go all silver and white put I could not resist. Here are a few photos of my home this year. I missed my white tree and will go back to it next year. My favorite thing this year was a saying I bought in vinyl it says "The magic of Christmas is not in the presents, but in HIS PRESENCE". I hope everyone has a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

Rachel Ashwell Shabby Chic Treasures Fabric

Have you seen it? I love it. Just when I thought I was moving on from the Shabby Chic style into French Chic. I saw this fabric and I am now leaning that way again. I guess you can mix pink roses with anything right? This fabric is called Rose Garden and it looks just like the old high end Wildflower. The colors are just a little lighter. Love all of the line she just came out with. Check it out I have not found it locally but online it is available and not expensive! I made mouse pads with it.

Thanks for stopping by, Lisa
