The Magic of Christmas

It's almost here! I can not believe it is Christmas! Where did the time go? I have been so stressed out with school. I just completed my final in algebra II. I survived and got a B. I never want to take another math class in my life. It consumed so much of my time. Once again I did not get enough crafting done for my favorite time of the year. I decorated a little different this year. I used more greenery and used a fake green tree and lightly flocked it with shimmery snowflakes on the ends. I used pink in my tree which I was just going to go all silver and white put I could not resist. Here are a few photos of my home this year. I missed my white tree and will go back to it next year. My favorite thing this year was a saying I bought in vinyl it says "The magic of Christmas is not in the presents, but in HIS PRESENCE". I hope everyone has a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

Rachel Ashwell Shabby Chic Treasures Fabric

Have you seen it? I love it. Just when I thought I was moving on from the Shabby Chic style into French Chic. I saw this fabric and I am now leaning that way again. I guess you can mix pink roses with anything right? This fabric is called Rose Garden and it looks just like the old high end Wildflower. The colors are just a little lighter. Love all of the line she just came out with. Check it out I have not found it locally but online it is available and not expensive! I made mouse pads with it.

My new Obsession

As you may or may not be aware I love cupcakes! Everything I find cupcakes I have to have. Well I ran across this cupcake embroidery pattern and thought I can't embroider but what else could I do with it? Well I decided to try to embroider. I got online and looked at blogs, you tube you name it. For never sewing before I am doing ok. I have not mastered it yet. I thought cupcakes embroidered on towels would be so cute. So, I am trying to get good enough to actual make a towel and hang it. Then hopefully sell some. I just love the colors of the thread or floss and "they" call it. I'll get you updated on my progress.

My niece says to me I want Shabby Chic shorts. I about fell over and said your mom and I are rubbing off on you! Here are some pictures of things I got. So inexpensive. The earrings where $1.80 and the shoes $16.80. I had to order them online the store was out or did not have them in stock yet. So cute check out the online stores to see more! Pink Coffee filter Heart

I can't seem to get enough of coffee filters. I love how fluffy they look when on a wreath. I had a foam heart I bought last year and never used it. I pulled it and already had some coffee filters died pink so I just started gluing. I love how it turned out. I should hung it with small ribbon but instead I just wide satin ribbon. Oh well next time. I can't wait to do some Easter Wreath's love Easter colors. I think I am way ahead of myself I'm thinking Easter already! Need some sun tired of the dreary dark sky's. Preparing for my big day tomorrow The Big Birthday. I'll let you guess which one it is!
